The primary goal of Africa Hope is to build awareness about the issues surrounding Africa. We want the rest of the world to be educated on the genocide in Sudan, supportive of organizations mobilizing in Uganda, and ready to give up their non-fat caramel macchiato at Starbucks in favor of supporting the building of wells for clean water in Africa!

But what we have realized is that Africa Hope is also a tool to show AFRICANS that the rest of the world is thinking about them, and does care about what is happening in their beloved continent. Right after we first started making our shirts, a wonderful young woman decided that she wanted to take a bunch of Africa Hope shirts over to Kenya where her sister worked at a children’s home. We could have never prepared ourselves for the enthusiasm of the children when they received their shirts. The kids were so excited that they refused to take the shirts off for weeks, even to wash them! They were equally as moved because all the shirts promoted their home; Africa.

In light of this amazing connection we were able to share with a group of children in Kenya, we’ve started “Orders for Africa”. Here is how it works. If you are going to Africa and would like to bring a group of Africa Hope shirts with you, we will be willing to sell you the shirts at the wholesale cost.
